FAQs
1. What issues do you specialize in?
I provide counseling for individuals facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and coping skills development.
2. How do I get started?
You can visit my profile on Headway to confirm insurance and schedule a free 15-minute consultation call.
3. What should I expect in the first session?
The first session is an intake assessment. We’ll review your history, current concerns, and goals for counseling. This helps us create a plan tailored to your needs.
4. How long are sessions and how often will we meet?
Standard sessions are 50 to 60 minutes. Most clients attend weekly to bi-weekly sessions at the start, but frequency can be adjusted based on your progress and needs.
5. Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
I currently offer telehealth sessions only. Online sessions are provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
6. Do you accept insurance?
I accept insurance. For a list of accepted insurances, please visit my Headway profile to confirm your insurance. For out-of-network clients, I do accept private pay.
7. What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
8. Is counseling confidential?
Yes. What you share in counseling is confidential and protected by law. Exceptions apply if there is risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse, or when required by court order.
9. How long will I need counseling?
The length of counseling depends on your goals, needs, and progress. Some clients come for short-term support, while others benefit from longer-term therapy.
10. What should I do in an emergency?
Counseling sessions and this website are not for emergency services. If you are in crisis, please call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or dial 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
